Evening,

I'm looking to buy a natural flea and tick collar for Sango.

Do you have any recommendations? I'd also love to hear your thoughts on how effective they actually are, please.

(I'm planning to use it alongside his usual treatments.)

Oh no, what a shame! Sometimes you really try your best and that’s what happens 😣. Was it a Seresto-style collar?

I was actually looking more into those EM ceramic bead collars myself.

A few years ago, we were tempted to try an essential oil collar. Within just a few hours, Kosmo had developed an irritation on his skin right under the collar. It was so itchy that he was scratching like mad. We ended up having to take him to the vet, who had to shave his fur where the collar had been; the skin was bright red. The vet applied a thick layer of ointment, which thankfully soothed him quite quickly. Since then, we’ve been using spot-on treatments from a well-known brand—they might not be natural, but they’re effective and don't cause any side effects. Just because something is "natural" doesn't necessarily mean it's safe, and you can't always guarantee it'll work.
