My pug goes nuts for anything he can really chew on, so I tried an antler for dogs thinking it might last longer than the usual snacks. It's been a hit – keeps him busy and doesn't upset his stomach. I like that it doesn’t splinter like some bones do. Just make sure to pick the right size so it's not too hard on their teeth.

My pug goes nuts for small bits of boiled chicken or carrots. I also freeze banana slices as a treat—he loves them and they’re a nice cool snack on hot days.

A great dog treat for a Pug should be healthy, easy to chew, and low in calories since Pugs are prone to weight gain. Here are a few options:

    1. Yak Chews – Long-lasting and natural, perfect for keeping your Pug occupied.
    2. Soft Chew Treats – Ideal for their small mouths and sensitive teeth.
    3. Vegetable-Based Treats – Low-calorie and great for weight management.
    4. Dental Chews – Helps with oral hygiene while providing a tasty treat.

Just make sure to monitor portion sizes to keep your Pug in shape!

When choosing treats for a pug, consider their specific needs. Opt for low-calorie treats to prevent obesity, and choose soft options that are easy to chew. Natural treats without artificial additives are best. Vegetable-based treats like carrots and sweet potatoes are healthy choices, as are lean protein treats like small pieces of cooked chicken or turkey.

Hello! I don’t have a pug, but a Labrador, but still))
I give natural chewy treats and snacks and teeth are fine and grain free treats. My dog also loves dried pig ears.

but keep in mind that treats should not exceed 10% of your dog's total daily caloric intake.

You can literally use anything as a treat as long as you dog wants it. My dog would ignore the last few bits of kibble in her bowl but if I use those as a treat for training, she goes nuts of them.

Choosing dog treats can be a bit overwhelming, but remember, it's all about what your dog enjoys and what suits their dietary needs. Start by considering your dog's size and any allergies or sensitivities they may have. You can also ask your vet for recommendations. In the end, it's all about finding something your furry friend loves and that's good for them.
