Hi Ty-Eli,
I know a female Staffie, and I’ve spent some time with her dad as well. Character-wise, I’d say there isn’t much difference; every dog is unique regardless of their sex. All I can say is that the father was perhaps a bit more cuddly than the mother and the young female Staffie I see regularly. I also agree with Kim1 on the practical side: a female dog doesn’t lift her leg, so your furniture won't suffer much (if at all) while she’s being house-trained ^^ Finally, to quote my vet: the easiest option, especially for city living, is a spayed female. No seasons, no marking.

Hi,
I’ve never owned a Staffy myself but I’ve known some lovely females.
I’ve had several dogs, including a German Shepherd I grew up with. I’ve always preferred females to males; I’ve had two little mixed breeds and a chocolate Lab.
I might be wrong, but I find that male dogs are often more prone to wandering off or barking, and sometimes they’re looking for a scrap. Females usually get on well whether they meet a male or a female, but males aren’t always so friendly with each other!!!
And then there’s that slightly annoying thing where a male dog often cocks his leg to mark his territory, which doesn’t suit everyone as he’ll do it just about anywhere, which can sometimes upset people!!!
