For my Bernese who's on prescription dry food, I'm spending about £70 a month, plus treats and so on... and you can't forget the vet bills etc... you can expect to pay around £85 a month on average...
How much do you reckon it costs to feed a Pyrenean Mountain Dog properly? Would a budget of around £45 a month be enough?
Erm... yeah, dry food at 40p a pound is the absolute worst quality you can find. You might as well just poison the dog right now.
A dog needs to be fed high-quality dry food—basically, food that won’t come cheap. And for the big lad you’re planning to adopt, you’re going to need A LOT of it. So if you can’t provide him with a decent diet because you haven't got the funds or you just don’t want to spend the money, please, don’t get a dog.
