Hello!

I have an 8-year-old female Jack Russell and for the past few weeks I've been dealing with a recurring problem...

Every time I pick my dog up and hold her against me, I end up having to soak my clothes, as she constantly empties her anal glands whenever she settles down on me.

I can't understand why she only does it to me — after a while it really starts to get on my nerves.

    Is there a strong smell? Are you sure it’s definitely the anal glands and not another issue? Dogs can't empty their anal glands at will; they only empty when they're doing their business. I think a trip to the vet will help you find out the cause.
