Where can I find this gorgeous dog?

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a specific type of dog that I've never come across before. Based on my research, it's supposedly an American Pit Bull Terrier, 'black panther' type. I've attached some photos to show you what I mean.

Is that the correct name for the breed?

And where would I be able to get a dog like this?

Thanks in advance for the help..

Where can I find this gorgeous dog?

Right, for anyone who didn't quite get what bothered me about the OP's post: "Hello/Good evening, I'm looking for a certain type of car I've never seen before. From my research, it seems to be a Lamborghini Aventador 338. I've attached some photos to show you what I mean. Is that the correct name for the model? Or where could I get hold of one?" I've got a younger brother the same age, and if he came out with that kind of talk about a dog tomorrow, my reaction would be exactly the same.

I’m inclined to agree with Lorna (even if she’s been sounding a bit more "on edge" lately 😌), and the phrase "treating myself to something I like" isn’t reassuring at all: it really feels like he’s talking about an object, like some top-of-the-range TV he wants to get himself for Christmas, and once the dog has grown up and he doesn’t like the look of it anymore, what’s he going to do? Especially since that’s likely to happen pretty quickly, seeing as he’s ONLY looking into the dog’s appearance and where to get one, rather than its needs and the responsibilities that go with it... Besides, it’s worth checking, but I think Belgium has rules regarding Pitbulls, so legally the whole plan seems like a bit of a non-starter anyway. And logistically too, if you can only find them in the States, it must cost an arm and a leg, both for the initial price and the upkeep. 😐 Mind you, I also think the dog is stunning, really impressive! 😲 Such a shame they have to go through mutilation and probably other dodgy things to get that look... 😔

Honestly, I think this dog is stunning! Each to their own—some people like the "teddy bear" look, while others prefer dogs that look "striking". The OP is just looking for some information. I think we’ve all done something similar before getting a dog (especially when going for a pedigree). You look for breeds with a look you like, and then you research the temperament and their needs. It seems like a sensible approach to me. Lorna, when I read your reply comparing this to a kid wanting a toy... well, you aren't helping anyone by responding like that. It’s completely useless for someone who’s come here looking for advice; it’s just belittling them by saying they want this dog like a child wanting the latest trendy toy. I do understand the issues with breeders who just produce dogs to follow a trend, but there’s a better way to raise awareness and inform people.

After looking into it online, here’s the breeder for the dog you’re after; they’re based in the States, though. http://www.xxldesignerpitbulls.com

Lol... Yeah, definitely, this one is much less intimidating 😁 You wouldn't want to mess with that Black Panther pit bull at all, but you just want to give this one a stroke....

Check out this little "black panther" I found! He's absolutely adorable and he's actually legal here in the UK!!

Well, to be fair, he doesn't look like a black panther at all! 👈

No, he's a "black piggy-bear"! A cross between a little piggy and a miniature bear.

    Cimino,

I don't want to be a killjoy, but I'm fairly sure that in Belgium, you also have laws regarding Pit Bull Terriers.

Right, Cercle, what exactly is it about the way I’m responding that’s bothering you? I’d like to hear your point of view; I’m always happy to adapt if it can benefit any living creature.

No, I don’t find your argument pathetic at all; I completely understand. I don’t really care much about a dog's looks myself. It’s more your tone and the way you address others that strikes me. But as you say yourself, "each to their own", and that seems just as valid for this person.

Anyway, I found this for a black panther! He’s so cute and they're actually legal in the UK!!

Yeah, but honestly, he doesn't look anything like a black panther! 👈
