Swollen pink lip

Hi everyone, I’m posting this to see if anyone has any advice regarding my dog’s lip.

It’s been slightly swollen and pink for a little while now; sometimes it gets bigger and other times it seems to go down a bit. It doesn't seem to bother him or cause him any pain, even when we touch it.

Does anyone have any idea what it could be? I haven’t found anything online so I’m starting to get a bit worried. Thanks!

Sometimes a canine tooth can make the lip 'shift', which leads to a pinker colour. Jyrkhos has this on one side because of his big upper canine.

Then again, I’m not sure if it’s the same thing...

Umm... Eveflash, I can't see any swollen jowls in your photo, just the usual frilly bits that all dogs have around their mouths. I don't really get what’s worrying you.

I reckon it’s down to teething, but it depends on how old your dogs are...

My dog has exactly the same thing!

What is it? It’s not itchy and it doesn’t seem to hurt him!

    Did you get an answer?

The second photo is a bit clearer, but still not clear enough. It’s not always easy to tell what’s going on just from a computer screen. You really need to be able to open their mouth fully, compare it with the other side, and actually feel the 'lump'. There is definitely 'something' there, so the best thing to do is take them to see a vet.

I can't see anything out of the ordinary with your dog! At least, not from the photo.
