Whether it’s this one or another, it doesn’t really matter. A puppy needs love, proper training and patience, and it’s down to you and only you to turn that puppy into a lovely companion or a little “monster”.
Hi there, well, I’m speaking from personal experience here. If you’re already worried about how lively a Chi/Pinscher cross is, then definitely don't go for a Jack Russell – they are on a completely different level, easily 1,000 times more energetic than the little beauty you showed us.
My boy Koda is a Jack Russell, nearly 8 months old now, and let me tell you, he’s a proper handful! He’s lovely and kind, very sweet and affectionate, that much is true. But in terms of exercise, it would be absolutely impossible to only take him out at the weekend or just for one evening stroll. No, he *needs*—and I really mean NEEDS—to get out, go to the woods, track scents, run, and learn. I spend hours with him outside of work, and while he is a brilliant dog, I can't tell you how much work it takes. Even though he's "only" a crossbreed, apart from his colour, the energy is definitely all there. We do at least 9 or 10 miles a day (keeping the walks to a reasonable length for now) and once he’s fully grown, we’ll be doing much more than that. I split the exercise into several walks so I don't wreck his joints, which doesn't seem possible for you, and on the days I can, I take him into work with me. So, I’d definitely advise against a Jack Russell, at least given your current circumstances 😊
Best, Kodadou

Reading your reply, it sounds to me like you're mainly looking to get a dog to take it for walks at the weekend?
But you absolutely must take a dog out for a proper walk every single day, not just leave them in the garden. Otherwise, there's a real risk they'll start showing behavioural issues... it's the only way for them to express their boredom and distress!
He’s got such a lovely face, this little guy...
