Hi everyone!

We’ve just adopted a little 2-month-old puppy exactly a week ago!

Since Thursday, we’ve noticed he has some very dark black spots and some smaller ones all around them (near his willy). We're really worried and don't know what to do... Before heading to the vet, I'm turning to you... if you could help me please? 😞🥺

My dog has black spots on his belly near his willy, what are they?

    @Caveman

    Sort things out between the two of you... or just drop it.

    It feels like a school playground right now, with a child running to tell the teacher 😀😀😀😀😀

    Have a good day

    Hi, I’ve just been contacted via private message by lebronzéboitduski and it’s nothing but a load of insults and threats. It’s all the more shocking and surprising as this person never actually offers any advice and only ever seems to get involved to stir up trouble, even though they’ve admitted themselves that they’re a former user who’s been banned on several occasions.

    Hi there, It looked like dirt or scabbing to me; have you tried giving it a good clean by rubbing it with a gauze pad soaked in Betadine? If not, give that a go. However, if you find that it's spreading, that’s more of a worry, so don’t delay in seeing a vet – especially as he’s a puppy and they're still quite vulnerable. Just so I don’t annoy everyone else any further, I’ve sent you a very polite reply via PM.

    Caveman, you’re taking the mickey a bit, just like someone told you last night! 😂 Assuming it’s a joke, I reckon if we saw a wider shot, we’d see a second “tick” sitting almost symmetrically to his willy, so there’d be no doubt it’s a nipple! Lebronzé, I’m not taking the mickey. You’ve got cats, I think? If someone posts a photo of a cat’s rear end with its balls on show and someone else is worried it might be a tick or cancer, wouldn’t you be tempted to have a bit of a laugh? Even a serious person like you?

    I hope it’s nothing serious. You could try applying a bit of coconut oil if you have some, it's quite soothing.

    He had his flea and tick treatment around 27th July 2021, and yes, it turns out it actually is a nipple! There was a tiny scab right behind it, which is why I thought it was a head, but the scabbing seems to be spreading a bit now. Thanks for your replies, I’m going to wait until the end of the week and then take him to the vet just in case.

    I’m not poking fun, my dog has the same thing, that’s all. There's no need to worry about a nipple.

    Caveman, you’re being a bit of a tease, just like someone told you last night! 😂 Assuming it’s a joke, I reckon that if we had a wider photo, we might see a second "tick" almost symmetrical to his willy – then there’d be no doubt it’s just a nipple! I also think it’s a nipple and that what’s worrying Elizabeth are the brownish marks on his genitals, but it’s hard to tell from a photo of a 2-month-old puppy. I tend to think you’re worrying over nothing, but I don’t really know for sure. If you’re really stressed, no matter what we say, only the vet will be able to put your mind at rest (hopefully) or tell you exactly what it is.

    My dog has had a tick exactly like this one, in the same spot, for five years.
