Hi everyone, I’ve just happened to notice that my one-year-old dog has a lump, just over half a centimetre wide, on the roof of his mouth (right behind his front teeth). Could anyone tell me if this is normal?

Okay, I don't think it was there before.

No, he isn't in any discomfort and doesn't have any symptoms. I’ll keep an eye on it over the next week to see if it gets any bigger or not.

Do your dogs have a "little lump" in that spot too? But then again, I also think it’s probably nothing too serious.

I’ve just had a look in my dogs' mouths. I don't see anything alarming in yours. If you have any doubts and you’re certain that little lump wasn’t there before, you could always show the photo to the vet sometime this week, but it doesn’t look like anything nasty. Plus, they don't seem to be in any discomfort and haven't got any other symptoms.

Yes, that’s what I’m talking about. I might be worrying over nothing, but I’d rather have peace of mind. Thanks, we’re taking good care of them ;)

Is that little pink lump on the left side of the photo, just behind the teeth, the one you're talking about?

    Here's a photo, I don't think he's having any trouble breathing.

Is your dog having any trouble breathing? Could you post a photo of the roof of their mouth?
