Need help - could her season and diarrhoea be linked?

Hi everyone, I’d like some advice. My 8-month-old puppy started her first season on Sunday, and she’s had diarrhoea since Monday. She’s never had an upset stomach before, so could there be a link between her being in heat and the diarrhoea? Thanks in advance for your replies...

Hi everyone, So, I went to the vet on Tuesday and she gave me some Stomorgyl for the diarrhoea... but it’s Thursday now and it’s still the same... I’m going to have to go back again tomorrow, Friday... I really hope she can find the cause quite quickly because the diarrhoea is really bad and they’re off their food... I’m so worried...

Hello, Sometimes, when a dog is in season, her digestion can get a bit upset, but it really depends on what you mean by diarrhoea (is it just slightly soft or very runny?). Is your dog up to date with her worming? If not, give her a wormer. If she is, try giving her a sachet of probiotics to start with. If it persists, make sure to see a vet. Have a good day, Solène

I'd be surprised... but then again, I'm no expert!
