Out of dry food - what can I replace it with?

Hi,

It's Sunday and I’m spending the weekend in the countryside with my little Max, who’s two and a half months old and weighs about 15 lbs (7kg)!

I’d have loved to stay an extra day, but I’ve just realised I haven’t got enough dry food left!!! And everywhere is shut...

What can I give him instead until tomorrow? Rice? Pasta? Porridge oats? And what should I serve with it?

    Hi there,

I’d definitely recommend switching to raw feeding! ;)

    Best regards,

Abel, I’m with you there... but if I give my pooch (a Border) puffed rice or pasta to eat, he’ll be...

    Farting all night long. (LOL)

Even if a doggy trump stinks to high heaven, we still love them anyway!!!!

I only ever give my dogs pasta (or puffed rice) and they absolutely love it! I mix it in with some dry food and wet food... I’ve noticed that after eating, they drink less and they don’t need to go out as often either...

And don't forget, in the winter, the good old "veggie soup" that I mix with some cereal. He absolutely loves it... Anyway, he loves anything that fills his belly (lol)... Don't worry, he’ll still go back to his dry food eventually!!!

    Great, thanks!

I just hope he’ll still want his dry food after this! :)

Swap it for some really well-cooked rice, rinsed thoroughly, with some grilled meat. If you can add some cooked green beans and carrots as well, that'd be brilliant.....
