Hi everyone!

I’m looking for some advice! When should I get my dog spayed after she's had her litter? Should I wait until after her next season has finished to have her sterilised, just to be sure everything is alright?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there, quick question. After she’s given birth, how long does she stay in heat, and is there a risk of my male mating with her and getting her pregnant again? My boy is still trying to mount her. Thanks!

    Hi,

You can have your dog spayed 15 days after she’s whelped, but do keep in mind that she can come back into season as early as two days after giving birth.

    Kind regards

No, you shouldn't wait for her next season. Get her spayed as soon as the puppies or kittens don't need her anymore (two or three months after the birth).
