My Bernese Mountain Dog cross has just eaten a bird fat ball (without the netting) and I caught him red-handed. He looked very guilty, and I gave him a telling off, but it was too late.

    For a 48 lb dog, once those bits have cleared from their poo, you can follow up with a short course of probiotics..

    Something like a pet-safe probiotic (you can get these at the chemist) for 10 days, half a sachet a day.

    That’ll get your pup back on their feet..

    Hi there. Given his breed, as long as he didn't eat the netting, it shouldn't be a problem—though he might have a bit of an upset tummy from the seeds. You could give him some high-fibre veg (for instance, one or two small tinned asparagus spears, some well-cooked leek, or some boiled squash/pumpkin).
