Malinois growth and adult size

Hi everyone,

I'm starting this thread to 'compare' Haïko's size with other Malinois as they grow.

At 3 months = 15.2kg (approx. 33.5lbs)

At 4 months = 18kg (approx. 39.7lbs)

At 5 months = 23.4kg (approx. 51.6lbs)

At 6 months = 28kg (approx. 61.7lbs / 4st 6lb) and roughly 58cm (23in) - it's hard to tell for sure with a dog that's wriggling all over the place!

His dad was quite big and he takes after him, so we know he's going to be a big lad ^^

    Well, ours was already weighing in at around 62 lbs (4st 6lb) at 58 cm, so she can't be that chunky – or maybe ours was just a massive unit! ^^

    I did notice he was looking a bit tubby for a while, but he's slimmed down nicely now. So I reckon yours will be the same. I'll try and measure him tomorrow to see, as it's actually been ages since we last did it. ^^

    Mine is 63cm and weighs about 62 lbs, and yet he still looks chunky. He’s built just like his dad (Burdy de la Crique du Flojule)—he’s broad across the legs, so he looks a bit short and stocky. It all depends on the dog's build, really.

    So, Haïko is 18 months old now, stands at about 63 cm and weighs around 73 lbs (5st 3lbs); he’s on the slim side. =)

    Loow, we can’t really tell. If I told you I weighed 132 lbs (9st 6lbs) and was 21, would you be able to say if I was too fat or too thin? XD

    Hi there, My Malinois girl, lovingly named Iska and nicknamed Bibue, turned 9 months old on the 12th of February 2014. She weighed in at 20.3kg (about 3st 3lb). What do you all think?? Just so you know, my vet told me she was slightly overweight.
