White lump with black spots on my dog

Hi everyone,

I’ve noticed a white lump with crusty-looking black spots on my Australian Shepherd’s back.

I had a very quick go at squeezing it, but I couldn't get it to pop.

My dog doesn't seem bothered by it at all, but I’m really worried.

I’d like to get some opinions before seeing a vet.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

The OP never came back, so we never got an answer.

Normally, a dog shouldn’t have "little spots" all over them, regardless of what the spots look like.

You can sometimes get a skin reaction to certain types of grass that causes spots, but that usually clears up within 48 hours...

If the spots last for several days and potentially have pus in them, you need to see a vet.

My dog has spots all over his body—some pop easily while others don't. He’s also scratching himself like crazy, even though he doesn't have fleas. I’ve tried tablets, shampoos and an anti-itch cream, but nothing is working.

Did you find out what it was? My dog’s got the same thing, but there are loads of them all over the place.

    Maybe a little sebaceous cyst?

Hi there, unfortunately I don't have any answers for you. However, my dog has exactly the same spots and more than just one – do you know what it might be? Thanks.
