Hi everyone,

My 7-month-old Australian Shepherd has started limping on his back right leg, even though he hasn't had any knocks or injuries. He isn't whining or yelping either... I was told when I first got him that many Aussies suffer from hip problems... is it possible he's already suffering from this at only 7 months old?

Is he running too much? Or on the other hand, not enough? I'm really worried, thanks in advance for taking the time to read my post...

What does the vet have to say about it? Yes, it’s possible he’s already suffering from dysplasia even at this age (which would be a total nightmare), or maybe he’s been stung by some sort of bug, or perhaps he’s got a sprain or a tear. Since I haven’t got my crystal ball or a veterinary degree to hand, I can’t really tell you more than that... So, get him to the vet, if only for peace of mind, and to make sure he gets the proper treatment if the worst comes to the worst.
