Sweating in Sphynx cats

Hi everyone!!!

I was wondering if any other Sphynx "parents" out there have noticed the same thing as me – specifically that my Sphynx smells of sweat, especially when he's sleeping!!

Since he gets chilly at night, he comes and sleeps under the duvet with me, with his head on my arm just like a human!!! The next morning, not only can I smell Peter’s sweat, but I’ve also got marks on my arm and body, which I assume is just my little one's excess sebum!!!!

Obviously, it’s no big deal, but I’m just curious to find out more!!!

    No, I've checked with my vet and they told me it's not compulsory.

    Or maybe just a damp flannel when it's really hot.

    I'm a bit wary because even at two and a half, he’s still so small—he barely weighs 6 and a half lbs. 🤷
