I’m posting here because I’m really worried about my cat—I have two, Simba and Nala. They’re littermates and they have a bit of a scrap every now and then, but they’re inseparable. My sister noticed this afternoon that Simba has a hole in his leg, and looking closer, I realised it’s actually really deep. I’ve attached a photo for you to see... I’ve looked online and it might be a burst abscess, but I didn’t notice anything before because he’s just been going about his business as usual. I had no idea anything was wrong and I’m wondering how he could have got it? Maybe during a fight with his sister Nala? For info, they’re both neutered. I desperately want to take him to the vet, but my parents really can’t afford it this month and I won’t get my wages for another 3 or 4 days. I’m worried it’ll get worse if I wait until next week? I’m so anxious at the thought of losing him like the other two cats I’ve had, so if you could give me any advice or let me know what you think while I wait to take him, I’d be so grateful!
Note: I’ve put some Betadine on it for now.
