Hi everyone,

Fuji is 3 years old.

She just had her booster jab today, but since then, she hasn’t stopped vomiting bile, crying out, and she’s also had an accident on herself.

She won’t drink anything and is crawling away to hide.

I’ve called the vet and they said it’s the same vaccine as usual. She doesn’t have any swelling (oedema) so they say it’s not an allergic reaction, and she’s never reacted like this before!!

I’m really worried – could it just be stress or something more serious?

I’d really appreciate your thoughts and advice!!!!!

Thanks in advance

Hi there, I don't want to alarm you, but do keep a close eye on her. There’s a very good chance it’s nothing serious, but I’ve read about vaccine reactions on here before—thankfully they’re rare, but they can be severe. She should be feeling better by the end of the day or tomorrow at the latest; if she isn't, don’t wait, take her back to the vet. Which boosters did she have? Honestly, don't worry too much, just stay vigilant just in case. :)

Hi there, I’ve seen reactions like this after a vaccination before... the cat was quite groggy and, I’d say, a bit under the weather... but by the next day they were back to normal! If they don’t seem any better, you’ll have to get the vet to take a look... that’s all part of the follow-up care for a jab! Keep us updated, thanks!
