Hi everyone,
I took my cat to the vet today because he’s been having some trouble with vomiting and diarrhoea. The vet prescribed some Prifinial, but my cat didn't swallow the tablet and started foaming at the mouth quite a bit. It was a white foam. I called the out-of-hours vet and they told me it's a normal reaction, but the problem is I still haven't managed to get him to take his medicine. On top of that, he's also supposed to be taking Smecta and Cerenia (for the vomiting). Does anyone have any advice on what I should do?

What a nightmare. It’s such a shame for a common vet medication! Thanks, I feel less alone now. ;-)

I haven't managed to sort it out, apparently it makes all cats drool, it's "normal" ^^ So I had to just pop it in his mouth and hold it shut so he was forced to swallow it, and then he was foaming at the mouth 😔

I know this thread is a bit old but I’m having the same problem! How did you resolve the issue with the Prifinial? My cat throws the tablet up every single time and foams at the mouth with white froth afterwards!
