Hi everyone!!!

At 8pm, I turned the radiator on, and my two cats were messing about near the heat. Now their whiskers are all singed; what should I do? My female cat seems to be struggling to find her way around, and their whiskers are all curled up like springs!!!!

What should I do!!!!

I have to admit, I freak out over nothing every time something happens. Mind you, I wouldn't compare a whisker to a lock of hair. Whiskers are actually essential for a cat.

It’s like going to see your GP just because you’ve singed a lock of hair!

I agree with Pink! If it’s just their whiskers, I think going to the vet is a bit over the top.

A vet for singed whiskers??? This has happened several times to my parents' cats (and oops, they get a bit too close to a candle!!!). They’re a bit disorientated at first but then everything goes back to normal!!! Whiskers grow back!!! If the cheek hasn’t been touched, I don’t see why you’d call a vet for that!!! Anyway, that’s just my opinion!

I can't help you there, sorry, but I'd be really curious to hear what the vet tells you... keep us posted! :)
