Hi everyone,

I got back from a night out this morning, ordered a takeaway on Uber Eats and ended up falling asleep on the sofa.

I must have been out for just a couple of hours, but when I woke up, I noticed my cat had eaten one of my spicy chicken tenders.

He ate the whole thing and I'm really worried, as he has a sensitive stomach and was actually hospitalised for a few days in the past because of a bout of gastro.

    Hi!

Your kitten probably has a sore tummy.

Maybe you should take them to the vet! 🙂

    Hi there,

That’s great news about your pet! Do make sure to encourage them to drink more than usual to help combat any dehydration caused by the diarrhoea.

    Have a lovely day,

    Kind regards,

    Quitterie

Right, a little update: that same evening my cat had some diarrhoea with mucus in it, and he seemed to have a bit of a sore tummy 🤧 I wasn't too worried at the time as I was expecting it; he's had it before, so I decided to wait until the next day before doing anything, just in case the symptoms got worse. The next day he was doing better—his stools were still a bit soft, but no more diarrhoea. And today, his poo is pretty much back to normal!

    Hello,

Spices aren't recommended for a cat's diet; they don't provide any of the nutrients they need and can also cause digestive issues such as diarrhoea, vomiting, and tummy aches. There is also a risk of dehydration involved. If you notice these symptoms, it's important to take your pet to the vet so they can help, especially if your cat already has a sensitive stomach.

    Kind regards,

    Quitterie

If I were you, I’d head to the vet straight away, just to be sure he’s alright!
