My cat keeps moving her kittens – why?

Evening everyone,

Since this evening, my cat Cachou has been picking up her kittens in her mouth and moving them around as if she’s looking for a new spot. However, she always ends up bringing them back to the cosy cardboard box I made up for her. Is this normal? Should I be worried?

Is it my fault because I’ve sometimes moved the box into my bedroom with her? I did it because I had the impression that was what she wanted after she spent ages meowing at me. I’m really not sure what to think, so any advice would be great.

Hope to hear from you soon.

So if I’ve got that right, you’re a carer and a breeder, is that right?

Oh, I see Maelys! Well, it’s not quite the same thing, but it’s not far off really. Yes, I am a breeder, but to my mind, being a breeder is ABSOLUTELY NOT a job – it’s a passion, even if a few people (rarely, and thankfully so) do make a living from selling their kittens. Like the vast majority of breeders, I have a job that is what ACTUALLY allows me to earn a living so I can look after my cats properly; my cats certainly do NOT support me financially. I want to be very clear about that.

    Well, hello there, colleague! ;-)

I hope you don’t mind me calling you that, but I’m a healthcare assistant myself.

I’d seen your posts and, from what Sevv was saying, I actually thought you worked with animals.

Our chats are all out of sync, it’s so frustrating. Whenever I send a message, I’m only just getting yours from 3 minutes ago??!!

Yes, I’ve noticed some white spots on the belly and on the paw pads.

No worries, I don't mind answering: I'm a care assistant.

So, have you seen the white spots?

Dellys, can I ask what you do for a living? If you don't mind me asking, of course.

Ah okay, thanks Sevv, I'll give the photo filter a go. Anyway, yes, I've read that the little ones shouldn't go outside yet; in any case, they can't get out at my place while they're still small since I live in a flat. They're absolutely adorable, aren't they?

Well, 12oz is alright then (I must have been looking at the wrong photo).
