My cat has lumps on her tummy

Hi, my cat is 8 months old. She’s eating well, having no issues with her litter tray, she’s playful, etc.—basically just living her life. However, last night while I was stroking her tummy, I realised she had several lumps.

Could anyone tell me if this might be serious? I’m really worried... and since we’re in the middle of the Coronavirus pandemic, my vet isn’t doing consultations today. Thanks for your help.

Basically, we’re working from home and we’re not even getting paid – everyone out on the streets the moment lockdown ends! 👋

    Too true, that!!

Yeah, everyone out on the streets and here we go again with a second wave.

The whole “economic crisis” side of things is really starting to crop up in the news now.

COVID or not, we’ll have to get back to work, masks or no masks.

    It’s going to be a bloodbath... 😈

    But I’m rambling, sorry.

Or just a pregnancy, full stop! 😞

In that case, Momo will be back so we can help his 'young lady' give birth, and then look after the kittens...

We’re in no danger of being out of a job here – no chance of being made redundant or put on short-time! ✌

If you have NO doubt about her being faithful, then it could well be a phantom pregnancy.

We’ll get there, Ulalie, by bringing @Pro Véto into the conversation 👌

Is there any chance your unspayed kitty might be "expecting" (kittens), even though she only goes out on a lead?

Are you 150% sure she’s never managed to nip out on her own? Has her behaviour changed at all?

I hope you’re keeping an eye on her when she’s tied up outside, because your unspayed kitty might well be expecting kittens; at 8 months old, it’s highly likely.

Those are her nipples! But how big are they?

What exactly do you mean by lumps? How many? Are they big or not? Just so you know, cats that are a bit pudgy have two lumps on their belly when you pick them up; they dangle and are quite large—they’re just fatty lumps (not to be confused with the *other* two balls...). Soft-ish lumps in her tummy, there are 8 of them. She isn’t fat; she’s a healthy weight for an 8-month-old.

Does the kitty go out? Is she spayed? You should see a vet, or maybe a different one, to see what they say :/ No, she doesn’t go out – well, very rarely, and she’s on a lead because we live near the road and I don’t want to find her run over or anything. No, she isn’t spayed either.
