My cat has lumps on her tummy

Hi, my cat is 8 months old. She’s eating well, having no issues with her litter tray, she’s playful, etc.—basically just living her life. However, last night while I was stroking her tummy, I realised she had several lumps.

Could anyone tell me if this might be serious? I’m really worried... and since we’re in the middle of the Coronavirus pandemic, my vet isn’t doing consultations today. Thanks for your help.

I hope Momo's cat hasn't been knocked up by the cat from upstairs 😁

Hi Momo, like the others, I think she might be pregnant. You haven't answered yet – has your cat managed to get out on her own at any point?

Hi, how long have these lumps been there? Did they appear overnight or gradually? If they came on slowly and feel soft to the touch, they might just be fatty deposits. Is your cat spayed? If not, it could be her mammary glands swelling because she's coming into her first heat. She’s young, so there is very little chance of them being tumours. To rule out things like a wound, an abscess, or cysts, the lumps would need to be checked for signs of inflammation or any discharge... Don't hesitate to mention it to your vet. Have a good day. No, she isn't spayed; they appeared overnight.

Fair play, Blue Cat, I take my hat off to you. You’re officially part of the "feisty ones" club now. If there are any others out there, we’ll let them in too, right Liza?

Yes, alright, we’ll accept Blue, but only on the condition that her religious streak doesn't make her want to put us back on the "straight and narrow".🙅

We’re going to need some proof, some real action – this will be her probation period. Sound good, Blue?
