My cat has been missing for over a month

Hi everyone, it's been over a month since I lost my cat and I'm coming here to see if anyone has any new ideas on how to find her. We moved from a flat to a house four months ago. She started exploring the garden instead of just being on the balcony. In the very first few days, I lost her for a day. After calling her and putting her litter tray outside, she eventually came back. After that scare, she stayed close to the house and didn't wander far. But now, she's been gone for a month, she just disappeared overnight. I've tried everything: putting her litter tray and her bed outside, calling her every single night. I've walked for miles along the nearby roads and checked the fields and ditches, but nothing. I've spoken to the local council workers, but they haven't picked up any cats during that time. I've contacted the vet, the RSPCA, and the local shelters. I've also put up posters in shops around the area, but still nothing. No one has seen her; she just vanished. She disappeared just as my partner was one month pregnant—could it be related to that? I'm not sure, but she's always struggled with children. After a month of searching, I'm starting to lose hope... I know some cats can come home after a long time, but I'm finding it hard to believe. The most frustrating thing is not knowing if she’s still alive! Please feel free to share your stories or any advice on things I might have missed. Thank you in advance.

Have you checked back at their old home? What about the surrounding towns and villages?

My partner has added the people in question on TikTok because I don’t have the app. From what I gather, I have to wait for them to accept the request before I can get in touch. So far, I haven’t had a response. I’m still calling for my cat every night, but with no luck. Her litter tray is in a right state after two months... I’ve been leaving her cat tree outside when the weather is nice and at night as well. We’ll see... Thanks, everyone.

So, there are actually people who practise what’s known as ‘intuitive communication’ with animals... It can be with living pets, lost ones like yours, or even those who have passed away... The best thing would be for you to send me a DM for the TikTok handles because I can't seem to get it to work on my end... even from my PC... But I can also just give them to you directly here... You can look up @mathilde.medium or @eve.elevation... One is a psychic and medium, as her handle suggests, and I believe she also practises intuitive communication... The other works with a pendulum... Make sure you follow her (@eve.elevation) before asking her for anything, though...

Thanks for your messages! She still hasn't come home, it’s been nearly 2 months now... Your story about the pet psychic doesn't surprise me; even if I'm a bit of a skeptic, I've had some experiences myself that have left me baffled! I've already watched those videos about communicating with cats through thought. Worth a try—there's nothing to lose. Thanks again. PS: Do you know their TikTok handles? You can send them to me via DM if you’d prefer. Thanks.

"Yes, I'm going to make some posters... I've already asked a few neighbours."

Good!... 😉 And put them up all over the place with a photo of your pet and all the necessary info on them...

"Tell me anyway! I'm open to all sorts of things"

Well, since you're open-minded!... :-) 😉 👏 I don't know if you're on TikTok, but there are several accounts for psychics on there, some of whom work with pendulums... Believe it or not, three different people—a psychic, a medium and a shaman—all told me my kitty was alive and doing quite well when he went missing for four months the second time... All three of them also told me he wasn't far away... Well, he was indeed doing fine when I found him and he really wasn't far at all: he was at a neighbour's house right next door to me... I'm at number 77A on my street and the neighbour is at 79... That means he really was just next door... Lol 🙂

Another thing that some people reading my reply might put down to coincidence is that the three people I mentioned don't know each other... I just "consulted" the psychic on a social networking site and I "consulted" the other two on an app...

    Hi everyone,

I’m hoping she’s been taken by someone and that she might eventually find her way back. She’s quite a pretty cat with a lovely coat, so I’ve also wondered about the possibility of her being stolen.

I’d already updated all my address details, including with the microchip database. I’ve also reported her as missing to them.

I’m still going out to call for her on certain evenings, though I must admit I’m doing it less regularly now.

Do tell me anyway! I believe in all sorts 🙄

You don't necessarily have to make 3,000 posters... You could just do 200 or 300, maybe 500... It’ll still cost a fair bit though, mind you... I’ve just thought of something, but it depends on whether you believe in that sort of thing or not...
