I’m so happy to share the news that my little girl Ippolythe has been found safe and sound. She was actually found just behind my house by a couple who weren't from the area (I can't thank them enough!).

She’d managed to get her paw stuck in her collar and was really distressed. So, they took her home to help her calm down, looked after her for a few days, and then dropped her off at a local rescue. I’ve picked her up now and she’s doing brilliantly, though she is a bit more clingy than usual 😁

So there we go, thank you all so much for your lovely messages—they really helped me keep my chin up 😳

_ First of all, what breed is your cat?

_ Secondly, is she spayed?

These two questions are important because some breeds are much more of a homebody than others. Also, if a female cat hasn't been spayed, she’ll go into heat and will want to wander off to find a mate; a cat in heat will ‘yowl’ to let the local toms know she's looking for company. That said, if a cat is capable of going off for a week, she'll likely come back, settle for a bit, and then head out again—especially if she’s used to that routine. You should try looking for her in the spots she usually hangs out. Have a chat with your neighbours to see if they’ve spotted her. And if she’s microchipped or has a tattoo, don't hesitate to reach out to a local animal shelter or the RSPCA for help. Remember that cats are very resourceful; even as pets, they still know how to hunt for food and find somewhere to shelter. Don't worry, she’ll be back.
