Hi everyone,

I’m getting a kitten soon and this time I’m torn between a Maine Coon and a Ragdoll. Then again, I keep thinking about the thousands of kittens in rescue centres (I wouldn’t mind adopting an adult cat at all) who are starving on the streets!!

But I absolutely love both breeds; they’re gorgeous and apparently have lovely temperaments (even though every cat has its own personality), and I just can't make up my mind!!

Basically, I’m in a real muddle!

My mum isn’t exactly keen on a Maine Coon as she thinks they’re too big, but I don't think she'd say no just because of that...

I’d love it if any Maine Coon and/or Ragdoll owners could share some info (personality, weight in lbs/stones, photos, habits, advice...) about the breed(s).

Ragdolls are really sociable, even more than Maine Coons—at least that’s what I’ve read anyway. I can’t really tell you much more than that though as I’m no expert on these two breeds, but you could always have a look on the internet.
