Lump on my cat's nose

Hi everyone,

I've noticed a small lump on my cat's nose (see photo). It doesn't seem to bother him when I touch it, so it doesn't seem to be painful.

Does anyone have any idea what it could be?

    Hi there,

If the lump isn't bothering your pet at the moment, then it isn't an emergency. However, growths on the nose can be signs of various conditions, such as cryptococcosis (a fungal infection) for example. It could also be an abscess (which would be painful), or even a cyst or a tumour (though these are often benign).

I’d recommend booking an appointment with your vet, as they’ll be best placed to give you an accurate diagnosis regarding the lump.

    Hope this helps,

    Paul

Hi there, Unless they’ve been wearing glasses that are a bit too tight, it’s probably just the natural shape of the nasal cartilage 👌
