Hi there, you can put some on but he’s almost certain to lick it off (unless he doesn’t like the taste). Just be careful with any little injuries on the paw pads though, as they can get infected quite quickly :/

Hi,
Betadine contains iodine (Povidone-iodine), and Biseptine is also a local antiseptic (containing Chlorhexidine gluconate, Benzalkonium chloride, and Benzyl alcohol).
Either way, your cat is bound to try and lick it off. It’s not a huge deal, but do try to keep them distracted so the product stays on their paw pad for as long as possible.

But vets do use standard Betadine, I’m just not sure if the iodine one is safe though, precisely because he’s going to lick it...

The trouble is, he’ll just lick the Betadine off, won’t he? (Mind you, I don’t think it’s a massive deal anyway.)
