Hi everyone, my Lola is currently recovering from a major operation… She had an accident in her carrier on the way back home… She's a long-haired cat… I’ve tried cleaning her with a foam shampoo from the vet… I keep trying again gently every now and then… but the smell just won’t go… She’s not allowed to lick her body, or at least she must stay away from the scar… I’m letting her groom her paws and her bottom area a little bit… But her back, flanks and tail are a no-go… I’m sleeping with her in a separate room… everything is kept spotless and the sheets are changed every day… She’s having her stitches out on Tuesday… I’d love to find a solution… without stressing her out, of course… I’d really appreciate any advice you might have.. please 🐾😽

I agree with Kalou, baby powder is brilliant and it really gets rid of any odours. Just go steady so it doesn't puff everywhere, otherwise the cat will end up breathing it in. You just dab the powder onto the mucky areas, rub it in well, leave it for a minute and then give them a brush. I’m not a fan of foaming dry shampoo at all; I find it makes their fur feel tacky and the smell is a bit "meh".
