Hi everyone,

I’ve just bought this Kitty's Cuisine dry food for my cat. Could you let me know if the ingredients list looks okay, please?

Hi there, The dry food looks pretty decent as it’s got 34% protein compared to 19% fat. That's a great ratio! It contains fresh meat and fish, and it's grain and potato-free, which is also good. However, looking at the ingredients for both flavours, you’ll notice "dehydrated poultry protein", which is basically animal by-products... if you're not sure what that is, it's ground-up bones, feet, beaks, and fur... That’s the main catch with this kibble, especially since the beef flavour contains 22.5%, which is quite a lot, and the fish one has 10.5%. I can recommend the Acana 75% range; you can get them for around £32 to £36 for a 4.5kg (10 lbs) bag on some of the pet supply websites. The dry food is usually a bit cheaper online. I’d also suggest checking out "Edgard & Cooper". Hope this helps! Have a good day.

EVERYTHING LOOKS OK EXCEPT for the protein levels: closer to 40% would be better. Ideally, calcium and phosphorus shouldn't be over 1%, so it's A BIT HIGH here. I’ve ordered from the site before and delivery took less than a week. It depends though; because of Covid my first order was delayed, but the second one arrived in a few days—pretty fast really. Parcels are usually well-packed, though like any delivery, you get the odd issue sometimes. They ship from Germany, but it still arrives in 4 or 5 days. CUSTOMER SERVICE is good; after a mistake where some free storage tins were missing from an order of wet food, they sent me out a whole new lot of wet food for free to make up for the missing tins. Mind you, they're quite picky about the reviews people leave and don't always publish them. I had a problem with some litter once—probably just a dodgy batch—but it was all shiny, and I thought it was weird seeing sparkly crystals in clumping litter. I ended up finding a small shard of glass in it, so... ??? I DIDN'T CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND I HAVEN'T BOUGHT THE SAME ONE AGAIN TO COMPARE. OTHERWISE, IT'S A GOOD SITE. Some products are pricey, but delivery is spot on and customer service is very responsive.

Hi there, these are a good choice of dry food. The protein content is great and the rest of the ingredients look very good too. I know a fair bit about dry food because my cat has food allergies, so my vet and I have spent a lot of time looking closely at the labels. Chantal

Thanks so much for the feedback; the quality of the food is really important to me. Do you happen to know if their wet food is just as good?

I’ve also picked up some wet food from the brands PREMIERE and Moments – if you know anything about those as well, please let me know. Thanks!

Hi, I’ll let someone else answer that as I’m not familiar with that dry food. However, I was looking to order from Pets at Home. Are they a reliable outfit? (Is the delivery quick enough?) The prices online are better than in the shop near me. Thanks in advance.

I haven't ordered from Pets at Home online yet so I’m not sure about the delivery times, but they’re always very professional in-store.

Hi, this is a good dry food; the protein percentage is very good and as for the rest, it’s spot on. I know my way around dry food because my cat has food allergies, and I’ve spent a lot of time carefully checking the bags with my vet.
