Will my kitten be semi-longhaired?

Hi everyone, as the title says, I was wondering if my Milo, who is two and a half months old, will have short or semi-long hair once he's grown up—if indeed an expert eye can tell. I adopted him from the RSPCA, and two out of the litter of four kittens had longer-looking fur. He has long hair on his back and it's quite scruffy.

(I adopted Milo when he was only 8 weeks old because he was found in a cellar, abandoned with his siblings when they were only a few days old. I'm aware that the ideal age is normally around 12 weeks when a kitten is lucky enough to have its mum.)

Thanks to anyone who can help me out!

    Evening! They are all absolutely adorable. As for how their coats turn out, it’s a bit of the luck of the draw. I adopted a cat who’s coming up to two years old now. Out of the five in the litter, two were long-haired: mine and one of his brothers. Mine kept his long fur, whereas his brother ended up being short-haired! But long hair or short hair, they are always little bundles of love to be pampered.

    Your little one is gorgeous.

    Looking at the fur on his back and chest, I’d say he’s going to have a medium-length coat. But only time will tell.

    I agree, my cat was just the same as a kitten, and now he has semi-long hair as you can see in the photos attached;

    I'm no expert, but I’d say it’s definitely long-haired or semi-long-haired.

    You shouldn't really go by the length of the fur on the head; you need to look at the fur on the back and the flanks instead.

    I’ve got a Birman myself, and while they're naturally long-haired due to the breed, the fur on his head is actually quite short, unlike the hair on his back and sides.
