My cat is trapped in my neighbours' house!

Hi everyone!

My 5-month-old kitten, Pixel, hasn't come home since yesterday morning... At first, we just thought he was wandering a bit further than usual, as any self-respecting cat does!

But this morning, we heard meowing coming from the neighbours' house when we called out to him!

The trouble is, those neighbours went away yesterday morning, and we've no idea for how long! No one in the neighbourhood has their phone number, except for their landline -_- ...

Does anyone know how long he can go without food or water? Do you have any suggestions at all, however small?

He's my first cat, so I'm not really sure what I'm doing...

Thanks for reading this far, and thank you in advance for your replies! :')

Same here, but it’s in a house and it’s been going on since Tuesday (it’s Sunday now), so what should I do??

Your cat's managed to get into the neighbours' house, but how? If your cat got in through a gap in the building, they can surely get back out again... (that was just an example). Also, have a look around the neighbours' place to see if you can spot any other ways out... Or you could try calling an animal charity or a local rescue centre; they'll definitely be able to help. You could even try the police – you never know, they might be able to help you out.

This is a really tricky situation, indeed...

    - We can only hope that your neighbours check their messages. Keep leaving them plenty in the meantime.

    - Maybe an animal charity or a local rescue could help? You could always try giving them a ring and see what they say; then you can go from there.

    - The fire brigade? They don’t always come out for animals... but there’s no harm in trying!

    - The police? Same deal, though they’re even less likely to come out for an animal in distress...

I’m sorry I can’t be of more help, but as I said at the start, it’s a pretty complicated situation...

We managed to get their mobile number, but it went straight to voicemail... all we can do is hope :/

Well, we need to find a solution... or even the fire brigade...

Oh dear... that's a bit of a tricky situation ^^ I'd call the police... a cat can develop liver issues if they don't eat for four days... so water is absolutely vital, I think.
