Hi there,
It’s going to be tricky to tell the sex from a photo; it’s usually visible at birth and then again from about a month old.
Males are the "easiest" to identify because the testicles are fairly obvious. Otherwise, you need to look at the distance between the two openings under the tail and the shape of the slit.
For a female: there’s a vertical slit and a shorter distance (the genital opening is closer to the anus).
For a male: the opening is circular and positioned further down.
You can also look at the coat colour; if there are three colours (tortie or tortoiseshell), it’s a female (unless there's a rare genetic anomaly). If you have a ginger cat, it’s more likely to be a male.
If you’re still struggling to work it out, just wait a month, or your vet will be able to tell you what’s what.
Best regards,
Audrey
