I think you’ve got the forum back to front...

Hi there,
Some cats do actually enjoy nibbling on vegetables or lettuce leaves. Don't worry, it's not dangerous in small amounts. Lettuce is mostly made up of water, so it doesn't really offer any particular health benefits or pose any major risks, as long as it's given in small portions and is thoroughly washed (to get rid of any pesticides or residues).
This behaviour is quite normal; some cats like the crunch or the fresh taste of certain leaves, similar to how they might take an interest in cat grass. However, lettuce shouldn't replace their main diet, which must remain suited to their needs as obligate carnivores.
In short, you can let them have a bit from time to time without any concerns, but it should only be an occasional little treat.
Best regards,
Gabrielle
Many cat owners want to know whether cats can eat prawns or not. The answer is yes! Cats can eat prawns, but only in moderation. However, there are a few things you should keep in mind.
My Horatio likes lettuce too o_0
He sometimes munches on a leaf when I'm prepping some :) It might be good for his digestion!
Lol :p luckily mine aren't tempted to snack on my bird (they're more into salad, wouldn't want them putting on too much weight :p)
Hehe :p
I haven't tried giving them olives yet myself, but it's definitely on my mind ^^
