I've been away for a week on a work trip and I've come back to find my little kitten... with a right little potbelly! (My partner has clearly been looking after him well, from what I can see).
For a three-month-old kitten, he is getting Pro Plan kitten dry food ad lib, plus one pouch a day, which is about 100g (0.2 lbs) of wet food.
I think that’s a bit much, isn't it? To give you an idea, I bought a 400g (nearly 1 lb) bag of dry food two weeks ago and it's almost gone...
I've spoken to my partner and told him to cut back the portions... but he says our cat is hungry all the time; I just think he's struggling to self-regulate!
Thanks for your replies

A colleague told me that if her tummy is a bit round and quite hard, it could be worms. She had a wormer a month ago (she’s 4 months old) but I don't want to give her too much. Should I deworm her again?
You say to give her wet food every other day. That’s going to be a bit tricky at my house. As soon as I get up in the morning, she bolts to the kitchen and miaows (so loudly for such a tiny thing 😂). She won't stop until there’s a bit in her bowl, but even then, she only has a few mouthfuls.
You say to give her wet food every couple of days. I’d love to, but the trouble is the mornings – I get a right earful until I’ve put some in her bowl. She really wails when she wants to make herself heard.
Dellys, I’m not worried now as I’d actually got the wrong end of the stick.
I thought that if I left the dry food out all day like I do, then wet food would be too much, so that’s why I said I didn't give any wet food.
Oh well, I have days like that where I’m just a bit scatterbrained!
Lots of love and see you later, Jocya.
@Euquinorev yes, that’s perfectly normal. My babies eat a lot, though Noah and Loukas tend to eat little and often – they’re very good at regulating themselves.
How much does Gatsby weigh now he’s nearly 4 months old?
It’s true that I’ve noticed little Gatsby eats more than Félia, which seems normal enough to me. Mind you, at my house, wet food is only twice a week. I put the same amount in both bowls but they just eat from whichever one they fancy – there’s no way around it when they’re free-fed, so I’ve no clue who’s eating the most.
Gatsby has grown and Félia hasn’t lost any weight, so all is well! ;)
And guess what? They know exactly which days are wet food days and they come and drag me out of bed to get it!! LOL
Jocya, don’t worry, I’m not saying you’ve made a mistake, I’m just giving my opinion and it’s no problem if you don’t agree with me, especially when it comes to food :)
