My kitten eats like a little pig

Hi everyone,

My little Gibbs, who’s growing up so fast, eats like a little pig...

I’ve only just finished cleaning the kitchen and, as soon as I put his bowl down with his dry food, he’s gone and made a mess again, getting half of it everywhere...

His lordship is far too posh to eat the bits that have fallen onto his placemat; I even find some in the living room sometimes!

He has a bowl with high sides... so I’m really at a loss for what to do with my little piggie ^^

Does anyone have any tips for stopping dry food from getting all over the kitchen floor???

Cheers everyone

    Good evening,

Your post is certainly relevant to the topic, but there’s no real point in joining a conversation that dates back to 2012 😉

Don't worry, mine's exactly the same. She picks a bit up in her mouth and drops it as she walks off, so we find them all over the place 👍 I reckon it’s just that they don’t really pay attention because they know they’ll always have plenty to eat 😂

It also depends on the cat; my three all have the same shallow bowls, but it’s always the same one who makes a mess everywhere! :)

Oh, as for the windows, that’s Loukas’s job.

LMAO girls, your cats shaking their dry food about! Lol Mine are actually quite tidy eaters. There are a few crumbs of dry food around their bowls, but I think that’s just because it's particularly crumbly. Mind you, Félia often eats her wet food with her paws, and she definitely makes a right mess when she does that (and I just love it when she goes and scratches at the window right after, grrrr...). I think you’re right, @Eivalf, some cats are definitely messier eaters than others, and I’m not sure there’s much we can do about it...
