BENGAL OR NOT, any new addition isn't going to happen without some hissing and rejection. It takes time for them to get used to each other, though a kitten is usually accepted more easily.

Hi there,
First of all, thanks so much for your reply. Yes, we’ve already introduced a younger cat to mine on two occasions. The first time was at the other person’s place; he was quite aggressive then, but didn't actually attack. The second time was at my house and he was very much on the defensive, unless the other cat was in its carrier—then he just didn't pay it any attention.

Hi there,
Generally speaking, no animal pairing is impossible; with a proper introduction period, all sorts of pets can live together.
That being said, it’ll all come down to your cat's personality. Bengals often have quite strong temperaments, but that doesn't mean they won't accept a new friend. Has your cat ever met other animals before (cats, but also dogs or rabbits)? If so, how did those meetings go?
Is your cat an indoor cat, or do they go outside and run into other cats in the neighbourhood?
You could potentially introduce your cat to another one – try to pick a social cat that’s used to being around others to make the introduction easier – and see how your Bengal reacts.
The fact your cat is still young will definitely make the transition easier. It’s usually much trickier to introduce a new pet once the first one is already an adult. If you’re thinking about adopting, try to do it while your Bengal is still a youngster.
If you do decide to get another cat, you'll need to manage the introduction by keeping them in separate rooms at first. Let them get used to each other’s scent, then gradually organise short meetings until they both tolerate one another.
Hope this helps,
Agathe.
