While no royal news can beat Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s pregnancy, photos of Prince Harry playing with dogs while on tour in Australia come close!
Prince Harry drawn to dogs in Australia
On their first royal tour in Australia, soon-to-be parents Prince Harry and Meghan Markle chose to attend a community picnic. Happily for these two canine-loving royals, there were plenty of local dogs to play with.
Rain or shine, it’s petting time!
Despite the rain, Prince Harry couldn’t help but be drawn to what appeared to be a gorgeous Great Pyrenees dog with two young owners. Despite the dog’s size, Prince Harry immediately leant forward and put his hand out to be sniffed.
Prince Harry Shows Dog Agility Skills
At the same event, Prince Harry couldn’t resist having a go at one of the dog agility fences. His new sheepdog friend understood that he had to be on best behaviour, clearing the fence perfectly. Fans and the Duchess of Sussex stood behind and applauded Prince Harry. Although, if you ask us, it’s the sheepdog who did all the work…!

A Royal Dog Loving Family
Both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are smitten with dogs. Meghan herself has two rescue dogs (one of whom had to stay back in Canada), while Harry has always been surrounded by dogs at home. This summer, the couple reportedly added a new member to their pup family, a Labrador Retriever. Fingers crossed it gets on well with Prince William and Duchess Kate’s cocker spaniel, Lupo!
