The 30-year-old YouTube was urged to ‘clear the air’ last week (w/c 11/3/19) after an awkward podcast recorded four years ago resurfaced in which he claimed to have ejaculated over his cat.

During the Shane and Friends podcast, Dawson is heard to say: ‘One time I laid my cat down on her back. I moved her little chicken legs spread open or whatever. I humped and I humped and I kept going and I **** all over the cat. It was like my first sexual experience.’

Dawson claims he made up the story and that his re-telling of it was part of a comedy skit he was planning.

I'm just trying to be short and honest

The YouTuber took to Twitter in order to try to clear his name: ‘I didnt **** my cat,’ he wrote. ‘I didnt *** on my cat. I didnt put my **** anywhere near my cat. I’ve never done anything weird with my cats. I promised myself I wasnt going to make apology videos after last years thing so im just trying to be as short and honest with this as possible.’

Naturally, Tweeps took the opportunity to air their views about Dawson’s supposed activities, with responses that were both supportive of the celebrity's innocence and mocking of his less-than-savoury past.

A few moments later Dawson added: ‘That story was fake and was based on a dumb awful sketch idea I had years ago that I never made (THANK GOD) and when the opportunity came up for a funny moment in the podcast I told it as if it was a real story which was DISGUSTING and VERY VERY DUMB’.

It is not the first time the 30-year-old has garnered controversy. In 2012 he was criticised for a raft of racial slurs which included the painting of his face black and using the n-word pejoratively. In 2018 he was again criticised for comments he uttered about paedophilia during a 2014 radio show, according to The Independent.
