No one can honestly say that we don’t owe an enormous gratitude to the women in our lives. Our mothers, wives, girlfriends, sisters, daughters – what would we do without them?
International Women’s Day significance
This annual celebration is remembered each year on the 8th of March. It is equally important in other parts of the world to raise awareness of the struggles and challenges faced by women on a daily basis. This day also promotes equal opportunities and women’s rights as well as highlighting achievements, milestones and key events in the history of women around the world.
How can you celebrate International Women’s Day?
There are of course, many ways that you can observe this important day. Most of them have the same goal, which is to raise awareness about women and their achievements and struggles. Not all of these feats are huge, game-changers of course. Other, smaller achievements that women cope with on a daily basis also need to be commemorated. Even digging the garden, making dinner, or looking after small children are all amazing accomplishments. You could even use this special day to celebrate the special companionship you have with your cat, as a caring pet owner.
Enjoy every moment you spend with your cat
As many of us are so busy in our everyday lives, at work and at home, we don’t get to spend too much quality time with our cats. It appears that quite often, our domestic cats spend too much time alone in the home. Although you can provide the best sensory stimulation and select intriguing toys for your cat, its mental and physical well-being will depend on the affection and attention you give her daily. Create some quality moments with your cat that you both can enjoy and celebrate International Women’s Day together.
No 1. Spend one-to-one time together
No 2. Play interactive games with your cat
No 3. Sit quietly and pet your cat – show her lots of affection
No 4. Learn about and understand your cat’s behaviour
No 5. Communicate with your cat using effective training commands and routines
However you decide to spend your International Women’s Day, with your children, your cat or dog, or celebrating with other like-minded women, have a great time!
