Cubby the Cat is no normal kitty

Everyone loves a pet video, especially when it’s shared on social media and this one shared by Aliyah Steele of her roomie’s cat is just as special. Cubby the cat is very intelligent and loves an adventure. He can carry out many tasks when asked, such as laying down and giving out kitty kisses on command. Cubby is certainly the type of cat you need to capture on camera. This is exactly what Aliyah and her roommate Ciara did. They wired up Cubby to a hidden camera and sat back to watch what he got up to on his adventure.

The girls were surprised to see Cubby finding his way out of the bathroom, without using the closed door as an exit route. It certainly helped that Ciara enticed him out of the room by shaking his food bag and calling his name. What cat could resist the call to dinner! Cubby, the orange kitty can be seen jumping onto the bathroom counter, then shimmying up the wall before he managed to pull open the door with his paw, and escape, in true Houdini escapologist style.

Aliyah shared her video footage for the world to see. Her hilarious Twitter post soon goes viral, with more than 221,000 likes and 3.5 million views. Aliyah said she was amazed at the response to her post and very humbled at the many messages and lovely comments she received. Many other pet owners posted their own images and videos, some in fact showing their own cat breaking out of a room. One pet owner shared their video with a cat standing on his hind legs and opening the door handle. Another shows a cat turning on a water tap which is quite a feat for a feline.

One thing is for sure, this video of Cubby the cat breaking out of a bathroom has captured masses of human interest.
