When you think of a stray cat, you probably think emaciated, hungry, fearful and skittish. But this Japanese photographer has buddied up with a group of strays - and they're having the BEST time!

A talented, cat-loving Japanese photographer has made a group of bubbly stray cats his muse and we had to share the photos with you.
The cats are living their best lives
These cats have made a load of drain pipe holes their new playground - it's absolutely adorable! It just proves that as long as you have imagination, you can have plenty of fun.
Plus, it seems that Nyankichi Rojiupa has actually struck quite a special relationship with the feline crew, who will happily pose for him whenever he comes to visit.
“I casually stumbled upon these strays and now spend all of my weekends with them,” Nyankichi told Bored Panda. "I’ve managed to earn their trust to the point where they allow me to play together.”
