An adorable singing pug dog won over the judges on The Voice, a singing competition

The judges were astounded
They certainly didn’t expect to hear a singing pug dog on Saturday night’s show, The Voice, in Manchester, at Salford Quays. The judges, Sir Tom Jones, Olly Murs and Jennifer Hudson were amazed as the contestant, Marina Simioni passed over the microphone to her pug halfway through her performance. The singing pug certainly hit some high notes!
The singing pug is a huge hit with The Voice judges
Of course it’s not what the viewers expect to see on The Voice. Olly Murs began to giggle as the pug dog continued to sing. Jennifer Hudson said that the dog was just too cute. Marina held the singing pug up to the microphone as he crooned along to the tune. She told the judges that the dog was like her child and she was super obsessed with him! Olly begged her to allow the dog to sing again, as the crowd cheered. Olly commented that he would never forget this audition on The Voice, for sure.
Marina is the real star of the show
Of course, it was Marina with her fantastic rendition of “Show Me Love” by Robin S that captured the judges’ attention in the first place. Sir Tom buzzed her through in the last few seconds and asked that she join his Team Tom on the Voice. Marina will now take place in the Battle Rounds of the singing competition.
Serious competition for last year’s The Voice competition
2018’s winner, Ruti Olajugbagbe will face serious competition for this year’s title. It could be the first year that a Singing Pug dog wins the contest.
