Molly the Beagle was heartbroken after losing her litter of puppies, but an unusual friendship is showing her that it's ok to love again.

The Beagles puppies passed away just a few days after being born. Molly appeared inconsolable; there was nothing her owners could do to help her get over the grief.
They gave her all the love and affection she needed, but something was obviously still missing. Then a new furry friend made an unlikely appearance and Molly began showing signs of her old, much happier self.
A new friend offers hope
That little furry thing was a Possum named Poss; Molly and Poss soon developed a strong, and extremely cute, bond.
Molly's owners, Elle and Sara Moyle, noticed an immediate change in their dog's demeanour. Speaking to 9News in Australia, Elle Moyle said:
“They've been inseparable ever since. They're an unlikely pair, and I think that possum thought Mol was her mother and vice versa...It's certainly uplifted her mood, they both needed each other I think so it's been a fantastic relationship.”
Possums are nocturnal creatures, so Poss spends much of its day snoozing in the shade. But this doesn't bother Molly at all. She sits and watches over the Possum until it decides to wake up.
“Molly just sits under the tree where she's sleeping and just waits for her,” said Elle Moyles.
Mending broken hearts
Shortly after rising for the evening, Poss usually jumps on Molly's back, who is more than happy to carry her friend to wherever it wants to go.
It's possible that "Poss" is an orphan or was abandoned by its Possum mum. Either way, this unlikely inter-species duo are helping each other to overcome their recent heartbreaks.
Nobody knows how long Poss will stay around for, but I'm sure Molly is in no rush to say goodbye to her new best friend.
