Several years ago, someone tied their Pitbull pup outside a CVS store.
Dog abandoned outside CVS
At first, people thought the owner had tied their dog up while they went to do some shopping. But as time passed, CVS store staff realised that the dog was still tied up, and no-one was coming back for him.
They therefore contacted a local animal shelter who came to pick the dog up. The poor animal was very sick. He clearly had a bad case of mange, but at the vets, it was discovered he was also suffering from kennel cough, a skin infection, and an eye infection.
Hopeful future
Thankfully, a volunteer named Stacey Greenwald offered to take the pup, named Dempsey, into her home to help him heal in a safe environment.
Within weeks, the puppy was back on his feet and ready for adoption! In fact, Stacey had rarely seen such an energetic and happy pup.
DEMPSEY UPDATE: We took in Dempsey two and a half weeks ago. He was originally picked up by DeKalb County Animal...
