Céline is a cat lover and volunteer at the Chatons Orphelins Montréal rescue group in Canada.
A few weeks ago, she started noticing a cat who liked to hang out outside of her home.
Stray cat comes for food every day
It seemed like the cat was hungry and looking for food, but he was very shy and wouldn’t let Céline get close. So, she would just leave food and water outside for him to help himself with.
The cat came every day to eat, but Céline soon realised that something was wrong with his mouth. It seemed like he wasn’t able to close it. Céline knew she had to do something to help.
So she decided to put a trap in front of her house. She placed a little tasty food inside, and within no time, the cat was caught!
Hungry kitty adopted by rescuer
Céline brought the cat to a vet clinic, where he was diagnosed with FIV (the cat equivalent of AIDS). His teeth were in poor shape too, but with all the right veterinary care, the cat was soon on the road to recovery.
Céline named him Luckyou, and decided to keep him. Luckyou is a completely different cat now. He loves to cuddle, purr, and sit on the sofa with Céline. Because he’s missing so many teeth, his tongue is now constantly sticking out of his mouth, but Céline thinks it makes him even more adorable.
Looks like these two were made for each other.
