Jean Moscher loves to take his dog, Jaqweenie, to the dog park. Usually, he stands with the other owners while Jaqweenie plays with his friends.
But one day, Jaqweenie froze suddenly as he was playing with another dog. He immediately seemed subdued, and sat down. Worried, his owner walked up to him and discovered that his dog was lifting one of his hind legs up in the air, and was shaking uncontrollably.
Mysterious injury at the dog park
Jean thought something must be incredibly wrong. Other dog owners started to surround the poor pooch, but no-one had any idea what was going on – they couldn’t see anything physically wrong with Jaqweenie!
So Jean eventually decided to take his dog to the vet’s, where the mystery continued. The vet examined Jaqweenie thoroughly, and just couldn’t find out what the problem was.
A cut on the paw pad
Until, finally, he found it. A tiny, microscopic cut on Jaqweenie’s paw pad – so small it hadn’t even bled. The veterinarian described it as a “paper cut”, but he bandaged up Jaqweenie’s paw nonetheless.
Jean thought his dog’s over reaction was hilariously ridiculous, but was also glad he was able to take this rescue dog from living rough to living so well that a tiny cut could rock his world.
We’re glad of that too. Hope you’re feeling better Jaqweenie!
